YORKTON U18AAA MAULERS HOCKEY CLUB IS LOOKING FOR A HEAD COACH FOR RECRUITING/SPRING CAMP AND THE 2024 -25 HOCKEY SEASON .

Essential Qualifications:

• HP1, Respect in Sport, and SHA Checking Clinic certifications
• Min Head Coaching experience at U15AA level
• Junior, collegiate, or professional playing experience preferred
• Criminal Record Check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High emotional intelligence

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in scouting, talent evaluation, recruiting and roster construction
• Scheduling
• Hire and develop Assistant Coaches and Hockey Operations staff.
• Develop and implement a season plan, on- and off-ice workout regimens, and playing systems/structure to maximize roster development potential
• Develop player skills, knowledge, and attitudes, focusing on continuous improvement as hockey players and promoting academic success and personal growth
• Organize and execute spring and fall hockey camps, and other team functions
• Foster a positive, respectful culture, and supervise players when together in an official capacity
• Manage the bench during games
• Break down and analyze game video and lead all ongoing player evaluations and feedback
• Attend and represent the organization at all games, tournaments, and team functions while being a positive, professional spokesperson for the organization.
• Jointly establish and enforce team rules.
• Manage relationships and liaise between stakeholders, including player parents, billet families, Hockey Operations staff, and Board of Directors.
• Assist in planning and communication of team travel itineraries
• Organize player participation in promotional and community outreach activities
