All families of a player participating in YMH programming must complete The Shift Forward: Evolving Hockey Culture (formerly Respect in Sport)

Please note that existing Respect in Sport certifications will remain valud through the 2027-28 season.   All new parents and guardians can complete their training through The Shift Forward link above.

Do I need to take The Shift Forward if I already have Respect in Sport?
No. Existing Respect in Sport qualifications will be recognized until the end of the 2027-28 season.

Will my course completion be linked to my child's profile?
Yes. Once completed, the qualification is automatically added to your child(ren)'s Hockey Canada Registry profile.

What if I have multiple children?
Any child profiles linked to your HCR account will inherit your Parent/Guardian qualification.
